Dean’s Welcome

Dean’s Message

Indonesia’s aspiration to become a more advanced and globally competitive nation by 2030 requires strong commitment and meaningful contributions to human resource development from all elements of society. Since the reform era, democratization and administrative decentralization have brought significant changes to national governance; however, these changes have not yet fully translated into improvements in public welfare. One of the fundamental challenges in accelerating national development lies in strengthening the quality of leadership and human resources.

Human resource and leadership development must therefore be pursued systematically through quality education at all levels, particularly higher education. Universities have a strategic role in developing knowledge, competence, leadership, innovation, and character, while creating an environment that supports excellence and contributes to sustainable development.

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Lampung (FEB Unila) is deeply committed to contributing to the advancement of human resource competitiveness through the development of a knowledge-based society, particularly in the fields of economics and business. This commitment is realized through continuous and systematic efforts to strengthen academic excellence, research, community engagement, innovation, institutional governance, and strategic partnerships.

In responding to emerging challenges and opportunities, FEB Unila continues to build upon its strengths while addressing areas for improvement. In alignment with the broader vision and strategic direction of Universitas Lampung, the Faculty is committed to strengthening its position as a reputable institution of higher education at the national, regional, and international levels.

The Faculty’s strategic development reflects a continuous journey toward excellence. Following the emphasis on excellent service during the 2011–2015 period, FEB Unila subsequently focused on strengthening its national and international competitiveness during 2016–2020. Building upon these achievements, the Faculty continues to advance toward greater academic excellence, international recognition, impactful research, meaningful community engagement, and stronger global partnerships.

Today, FEB Unila remains committed to creating an academic environment that inspires learning, innovation, leadership, and collaboration. Guided by our vision, mission, and core values, we strive to produce graduates who are not only academically competent and globally competitive, but also possess integrity, leadership, creativity, responsibility, and a strong commitment to society.

As Dean, I invite all members of the FEB Unila academic community, our partners, alumni, government, industry, and society to work together in advancing the Faculty and contributing to sustainable economic development at national and international levels.
