FEB Unila Visited ITB
Bandung | Friday (08/24) morning, FEB Unila group visited the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The group led by the Dean of FEB Unila. This activity aims to learn and improve the quality of the lecture process in the implementation of information technology-based academic information systems in ITB. As well as sharing about strategies in order to prepare the process to get AACSB international accreditation.
This visit was followed by Dean of FEB Unila Prof. Dr. Satria Bangsawan, S.E., M.Sc. Vice Dean Academic and Cooperation affair Dr. Mahrinasari, Vice Dean General and Finance affair Dr. Fajar Gustiawaty Dewi, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Section Heads, Head of Subdivisions and several staffs.
At around 8:30 a.m., the group arrived at the ITB campus and were welcomed by the Vice Dean Academic affair SBM-ITB Prof. Dr. Ir. Utomo Sarjono Putro, M.Eng. , in the lobby of the SBM-ITB building. “Welcome to SBM-ITB,” he said. Then the groups were invited to tour the SBM-ITB complex to see some of the existing facilities in the building which was the building of grants from PT. Freeport Indonesia.
After traveling around about 45 minutes then the participants were directed to enter the meeting room to listen the explanation related to what was at the ITB-SMB, such as SBM-SPACE (Smart Platform for Academic Environment), the strategy and steps of SBM-ITB to get international accreditation and about human resource management system in SBM-ITB.
In his presentation Prof. Utomo explained about several systems that have been implemented, one of them is SBM-SPACE. “SBM-SPACE is designed to facilitate lecturers, employees and students related to academic affairs and staffing,” he explained. Furthermore, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs said that the attendance system for students at SBM-ITB was already based on digital (fingerprint) which had all been integrated into one system namely SBM-SPACE.
On this occasion the Dean of FEB Unila expressed his gratitude to the SBM-ITB who had taken the time to receive the visit of the Unila FEB group. He hopes that this visit can open up insights and be able to learn from SBM-ITB regarding the things needed to advance FEB Unila.(Suri/Yandi)
