Faculty of Economics and Business Unila Conducts Socialization on Collaborative Classroom Utilization with Practitioners to Enhance Employability

FEB Unila | The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Lampung (Unila) recently organized a virtual event to socialize the utilization of collaborative classrooms among faculty members. The aim of this initiative is to actively involve educators in supporting the government’s efforts to bring graduates closer to the professional world.

Held online on January 25, 2024, the event featured practitioners and experts in the field, providing insights on how collaborative classrooms can be leveraged to enhance the practical skills and employability of students. The initiative is aligned with the government’s program to actively engage universities in preparing graduates for the workforce.

Dr. Ir. Meliya Riniarti and Dr. Riyan Hidayatullah, speakers from the University of Lampung’s Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP3M), shared valuable perspectives on effective collaboration between academia and industry. They emphasized the significance of incorporating real-world experiences into the academic curriculum, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the demands of the job market.

Vice Dean for academic and cooperation affairs of FEB Unila, Dr. Ernie Hendrawaty, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in equipping students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge. “Our collaboration with practitioners and experts is crucial in bridging the gap between academia and the workforce. By optimizing collaborative classrooms, we can enhance the quality of education and produce graduates who are ready to excel in their professional careers,” stated Dr. Ernie Hendrawaty.

The virtual event provided an interactive platform for faculty members to discuss strategies for implementing collaborative learning approaches. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the speakers, sharing ideas on how to effectively integrate industry practices into the classroom environment.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Unila remains committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that prepares students for the challenges of the modern job market. By actively involving practitioners in the educational process, the faculty aims to contribute significantly to the employability and success of its graduates.
