The Faculty of Economics, University of Lampung was established on September 23, 1965 based on the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science Number 195. Then based on the Chancellor's Decree Number 03 / UN26 / DT / 2011 the Faculty of Economics changed its name to the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Lampung (FEB Unila) , December 30 2011. This decision was ratified in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 72/2014 concerning the Organization and Working Procedures of the University of Lampung.

The Faculty of Economics and Business is the oldest faculty at the University of Lampung. Currently, it has three majors and eleven study programs that have been accredited A and Excellent from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) and the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Business Management and Accounting (LAMEMBA) and internationally accredited by ABEST21. FEB is also the first faculty at the University of Lampung to receive ISO 9001-2015 certification from the SGS international quality assurance agency.
