The Ministry of Communication and Information Cooperates with FEB Unila Holds Talkshow; “Generation of Positive Thinking”

FEB Unila | FEB Unila and the Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information collaborated to hold a Generation of Positive Thinking (Genposting) and Stage Talkshow with the theme “expressing your joy in being smart and wise” on Thursday (29/11) in the Business Learning Center and Entrepreneur Development Center Teaching area FEB Factory Unila. The talkshow presented two speakers, Ms. Septriana Tangkary, alumni of FEB Unila who currently serves as Director of Information and Communication for Economic and Maritime Affairs of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information and Mr. Thontowi Djauhari as Assistant Special Staff to the President.

The speakers explained how important students who are the current millennial generation to be smart in following technological developments and also wise in using social media. “Think before click is important. So before you post something, think first, because now it’s not your mouth, but your finger is your death, “said Ibu Septri. Furthermore, Septri also reminded the millennial generation to be smart in responding to the news in the media, whether the news was a fact or a hoax and do not immediately spread the news obtained without checking to other sources first. “There are some things that can be used as hoaxes, usually cause anxiety, contain hateful words, and usually use the name of a person who is famous or influential to spread the scare news” he closed.

The event which was attended by hundreds of participants who were students at the University of Lampung was also filled with workshops on digital creative content by Ikram Afro Atamimi who is a content creator, food and beverage bazaar, and also enlivened by the live performance of Batas Senja Band.
